However, it is still valuable as you can sell it for LPs or money. Drifloon gas is dropped by Pokemon from the Drifloon evolutionary line. The current two Pokemon who drop Drifloon gas are Drifloon and Drifblim. But Drifloon and Drifblim appear only in Pokemon Scarlet. So, acquiring Drifloon gas is exclusive to Pokemon Violet players.
Drifloon is a flying type and ghost-type Pokemon, so it can be found in the high mountains near Palden. It evolves to Drifblim once it reaches level 28. They appear in many places on the map, so you will not find it difficult to catch them. However, they only appear at night so remember to look for them in the evening.

How to get Drifloon gas in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
You can get Drifloon gas defeating or catching wild Drifloon or Drifblim. Drifloons are located in the areas such as East Province (Area One, Two, and Three), Glaseado Mountain, and West Province (Area One, Two, and Three), while Drifblim is located in Glaseado Mountain, East Province (Area Three) and West Province (Area Two)
Drifloon and Drifblim are weak to Electric, Dark, Ice, and Rock-type Pokemon, so bringing a few of them with you is advisable if you want to catch them. Once you have defeated or caught the Pokemon, it will drop Drifloon gas.
