Like other Final Fantasy titles, in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion, you can also call upon the devastating power of unique magical creatures through Summons to help Zack in battles. From the terrifying Bahamut and Ifrit to the cute but deadly Tonberry and Cactuar. Today, we will guide you on how to get the Cactuar DMW Summon in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

How To Get Cactuar Summon in Crisis Core Reunion

Unlocking the Cactuar DMW Summon is actually not that hard. All you need to do is complete three M10-1 Missions. However, you have to unlock those Missions first before they become available, which we’ll get into later. Below is the list of the three Missions you need to clear in order to obtain the Cactuar Summon:

  1. “M10-1-1: Where’s the Cactuar?”
    • Reward: Muscle Belt
    • Chest Loot: Potion, Elixir
  2. “Mission 10-1-2: Kactuar?”
    • Reward: Champion Belt
    • Chest Loot: Remedy, AP Up (Materia), Cursed Ring (Accessory)
  3. “Mission 10-1-3: Cactuar Found?”
    • Reward: Cactus Thorn
    • Chest Loot: X-Potion, Safety Bit (Accessory), White Cape (Accessory)

Completing M10-1-3 will reward you with the Cactus Thorn Key Item that finally unlocks the Cactuar Summon. Keep in mind that the boss Cactuar you fight in “M10-1-3” will shoot out a 1000 Needles attack when beaten. The Cactus Thorn item — and that means the Cactuar Summon — also does not carry over to New Game Plus.

How to Unlock M10-1 Mission Chain in Crisis Core Reunion

Now, the requirement to unlock the “M10-1-1” Mission:

  1. Get to Chapter 4.
  2. Unlock the “M3-1: Genesis Forces” Mission Chain by interacting with the save point.
  3. Complete two “M3-1” Missions:
    • “M3-1-1: Foes on the Waterfront”
      • Reward: Bronze Bangle (Accessory)
      • Chest Loot: Potion, X-Potion
    • “M3-1-2: Massive Machines”
      • Reward: Iron Bangle (Accessory)
      • Chest Loot: Remedy
  4. With the “M3-1-3: Eliminate the Copies” now unlocked, play it — but do not fight the Genesis Copy boss and end the Mission yet!
  5. Head to the northeastern part of the area and locate the Kactuar secret boss.
  6. Once done, finish the Mission by beating the Genesis Copy boss.
  7. “M10-1: Cactoid Secrets” Mission Chain should be unlocked by that point.
