Steam Deck Most Played December Games
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Like every month, Valve tends to put out a list of the games that people played the most on the Steam Deck. This handheld console is now one of the best ones out there, truly surpassing the Nintendo Switch. While Nintendo boasts some great first-party titles as exclusives, some of the latest ones have proven too much for the console. One clear example is the latest Pokémon generation. Scarlet and Violet remain the talk of the moment due to their technical problems. On the other hand, Valve’s console is powerful enough to run some of the latest and biggest titles. Here is the list of the most played games of December on the Steam Deck.

The Top 20 most-played games of December on the Steam Deck include Elden Ring, Vampire Survivors, and more

While some would think the latest Game of the Year winner would top the charts, it doesn’t. The most played game of the month on the Steam Deck was Vampire Survivors. A game that many players hail as one of the best indie titles with accessible price and cheap DLC. You can see the list of the Top 20 most-played games of December on the Steam Deck below.

  • Vampire Survivors
  • Elden Ring
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Hades
  • Persona 5 Royal
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Stardew Valley
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
  • Valheim
  • God of War
  • Fallout 4
  • Brotato
  • Slay the Spire
  • The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
  • Monster Hunter Rise

As we reach the end of the year, let's take a quick look at the top 20 games of December on Steam Deck, sorted by playtime.

While there are some big titles out there, indie games have also appeared on the list. We are happy to see games like Vampire Survivors, Stardew Valley, and Valheim out there. The latter got a big update earlier that adds a new zone and many more things. We can safely say that the console is quite successful due to the most played games of December on the Steam Deck. Here’s hoping for 2023 with more compatible games for the console and of course a chance for people to get a Steam Deck this year.
