This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

If Trainers are looking to cook up some of the best Sandwiches in  Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they must procure a unique ingredient known as Spicy Herba Mystica. This resource is used for making meals such as the Legendary Spicy Sandwich, Spicy Jambon-Beurre, and the Master Curry-and-Rice-Style Sandwich. Each of these Sandwiches offers powerful buffs to help Trainers during their adventurous endeavors in Paldea. Typically, Sandwich ingredients are purchased from stores in the main cities. However, like other Herba Mystica, Spicy Herba Mystica is a rare resource that can only be acquired from the challenging Tera Raids of Scarlet and Violet.

Finding a 6-Star Tera Raid in Scarlet and Violet

To procure Spicy Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers must unlock access to 5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raids in Paldea. These Raids are the highest tier Raids available in-game, outside of the limited-time 7-Star Tera Raid Events that occur periodically. All of these three Tera Raid types are not available until players reach the postgame.

5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raids become accessible after players have cleared the three main storylines of the game: Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street. 5-Star Tera Raid Battles become accessible once Trainers complete these questlines and reach the endgame credits. On the other hand, 6-Star Tera Raids become available after players have defeated the Gym Leaders again and cleared the Academy Ace Tournament, a competition featuring some of the most skilled Trainers in Paldea. Once this feat has been accomplished, the player protagonists will receive a call from Professor Jacq directing them to clear multiple 5-Star Tera Raids. Therefore, players must continue completing 5-Star Tera Raid Battles until Jacq calls again, letting them know 6-Star Tera Raids are accessible.

As one might expect, 5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raids are far from easy, as Trainers will need their best pocket monster combatants to clear the Raids to obtain Spicy Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The effort is undoubtedly worthwhile, as players will receive valuable rewards, including the Herba Mystica they need for the potent Sandwich recipes. If players are curious which Tera Pokémon grant Spicy Herba Mystica, Gamepur has created an extensive list of every pocket monster that drops the item.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
