Want to know how to get Steel Beam TM 170 in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? With Power 140 and Accuracy 95, Steel Beam deals the most damage in the game. Your Pokémon gathers steel from its body and fires a powerful Steel Beam at the enemy, dealing massive damage. But such an attack also damages the user himself, so you need to be careful. No Pokémon have this move by default and can’t learn it by leveling up, so you’ll need a TM anyway. And our guide is here to help you and tell you how to get Steel Beam TM 170 in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Find TM 170 Steel Beam in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

First of all, it’s worth noting that you can get Steel Beam TM 170 in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in two ways:

  • Find in the vastness of Paldea.
  • Craft on TM Machine.

Unlike most other TMs, you will not automatically unlock the Steel Beam TM 170 recipe after defeating a definite boss. The only way to get your first Steel Beam TM and its recipe – is to find it in the open world. Unfortunately, there are only two places where you can find it:

  • The first place you can visit is the western part of the North Province (Area Three). Take the northwest beach of the location as your starting point and go west along the rocks in shallow water. Soon you will see the entrance to the cave on your left. Go inside and collect your first Steel Beam TM.
  • The next point is much later in the story, as you have to travel to the Great Crater of Paldea. Go to the northwestern part of the location and look for a cave hidden behind a waterfall near Research Base 3. Enter the cave and take the second TM.

How to Craft TM 170 Steel Beam in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Once you get at least one Steel Beam TM, you will automatically receive the recipe and be able to craft copies. So head to your nearest Pokemon Center and use the TM Machine. To craft TM 170 Steel Beam in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, choose the required recipe and prepare the following materials:

  • 14000 LP
