Do you want to know where to find Tyr in God of War Ragnarok? God of War Ragnarok is the latest installment in the famous God of War series, and Týr is the Aesir God of War, Law, Justice, and Honor. He is one of the three primary deities in Norse mythology. He appears in God of War Ragnarok as a major character. This guide will tell you where to find Tyr in God of War Ragnarok.

Who is Tyr in God of War Ragnarok?

Tyr Odinson was born in the realm of Asgard and is part frost giant, or Jotnar, and part Aesir god, making him a hybrid of both breeds. His great-great-grandparents are Ymir and Audumbla, his great-grandfather is Búri, his grandfather is Borr, and his grandmother is Bestla. His father, Odin, has passed away, and his mother, Hrodr. Tyr had two stepmothers, Fjorgyn and Freya.

Tyr was known throughout the Nine Realms for being an honorable god of war who fought for law and justice. He worked tirelessly to ensure peace reigned supreme wherever he roamed and was referred to by Mimir as “The One Who Fought For Peace.” While Thor jokingly referred to him as the “Preachy Old Stiff,” this general sentiment did not hinder Tyr’s unwavering devotion to aiding those in need.

Odin had imprisoned Tyr, and after the death of Odin, he was freed by Kratos and Freya. Once released, he appears in different locations in the nine Realms.

Where to Find  Tyr in God of War Ragnarok?

You will find Tyr in God of War Ragnarok imprisoned in Aesir Prison Wreckage at  Niflheim. You will have to take a new path to the left that has opened after completing the game’s main storyline. Tyr will be at the very bottom of the prison once you beat several enemies and complete The Broken Prison favor quest.

Once you have freed Tyr from prison, he appears in the following locations.

  1. Midgard: You will find Tyr looking at his temple in the North East part of the Lake of Nine
  2. Alfeheim: When you travel to the Temple of Light, you will find him in the middle of the path, looking at the Desert.
  3. Muspelheim: You will find Tyr at the Spark of the World.
  4. Helheim: He is at the Hel’s Perch interacting with the Giant bird Hraesvelgr.
  5. Svartalfheim: Once you have completed The Weight of Chains favor, Tyr will appear at the Bay of Bounty.
