Back in October, Phasmophobia did its part in celebrating the spooky season by introducing the Apocalypse Challenge. This new challenge is easily one of the most difficult challenges you can take on within the game. It allows you to put in some hard work to earn trophies that you can display in your lobby room. Though, they aren’t easy to obtain by any means, and you’ll have to put in quite a bit of effort. Don’t worry, though; we’ve got you covered! Keep reading to learn how to complete the Apocalypse Challenge in Phasmophobia.

Phasmophobia: How to Complete the Apocalypse Challenge

The Apocalypse Challenge is one of the biggest features of the Apocalypse update that came out right around Halloween time in 2022. Each trophy that you obtain will be shown in the display cabinet on the side of the room within your lobby. In order to complete it, you must:

  • Visit the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution map
  • Play on a Custom Difficulty that is set to at least 15x, but anything above 15x is okay, like 20x, 24x, or even higher.
  • Make sure you complete each objective in Sunny Meadows Mental Institution during your hunt.
  • Successfully snap a picture of the ghost you are hunting, and correctly guess what type of ghost you are investigating, though the photo can be any number of stars.
  • This challenge must be completed in Single-Play Mode, so make sure you head in alone without the help of any friends if you plan on completing Phasmophobia‘s Apocalypse Challenge.
  • As soon as you have completed the challenge successfully, your trophy will eventually appear in your display cabinet and will stay there indefinitely.

Depending on what you set your difficulty to, you can be awarded one of three different trophies. The higher your difficulty is set, the better the trophy you receive will be. If you set your difficulty to 15x, then you will get a Bronze Trophy. If you set it to 20x, you will get a Silver Trophy, and finally, if you set it to 24x, you will get a Gold Trophy. Though this challenge started around Halloween, this challenge is a permanent one and will remain within the game.

This is everything you need to know about how to complete the Apocalypse Challenge in Phasmophobia. Be sure to check back for more useful guides, and as always, be safe and have fun!

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
