Fire Emblem Engage is the newest game in the Fire Emblem series. In this, players will use Somniel, a sanctuary in the world of the game, a lot. As you progress through the story of the game, you will unlock new characters and creatures. Among them is a little dog known as Sommie, and here is how to use him properly in Fire Emblem Engage.

As you progress through the story and complete each chapter, new characters will arrive at Somniel. Once you complete Chapter 6, Sommie will be seen wandering around in Somniel.

Before unlocking Sommie, you might have already found out that there is a locked area in the southern region of Somniel. After seeing Sommie in the area, you will be able to access this place through a tunnel.

This tunnel will lead to a mysterious shrine that will eventually turn into Sommie’s Shrine. After that, you can interact with Sommie in three ways via this shrine.

The first one is Dress Up, which will allow you to change the appearance of Sommie. The other two options are Fed and Pet, which will increase the heart meter gradually.

By petting and feeding Sommie, he will give you Bond Fragments and, in some cases, Spirit Gems in return. Both of these items can be given to allies as gifts. However, he will only be able to give two gifts between every battle.

While Sommie likes most of the food you give him, there are a few that he hates. Sommie hates onion, nuts, and eggs, likes cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, and rice, and loves apples, oranges, milk, and beans.

After you’ve fed him, make sure to pet him as well. It is best to select the pet option two or three times to get the second gift from him as well. And that is how you can use Sommie to his full potential in the game.

Fire Emblem Engage is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
