Want to know how Skirmishes work in Fire Emblem Engage? Starting your adventure in Fire Emblem Engage, you should deal with the fact that many battles await you, and not all of them are related to the game plot. Skirmishes will not affect the game plot but are a great way to earn resources and level up characters. You are not required to participate in such battles, but you will want to do so. And our guide is here to help you and tell you how Skirmishes work in Fire Emblem Engage.

As we said at the beginning, Skirmishes have nothing to do with the game’s plot. This battle can spawn anywhere in the game world and involves fighting one or more completely different enemies. Looking at the game map, you can detect Skirmishes by their characteristic icon. This icon not only indicates the exact location of the enemies but also gives you a couple of other clues.

First, looking at the Skirmish icon, you can accurately determine the main enemy forces. For example, if the picture shows a griffin, Griffin Knight is probably the majority of the opponents of this Skirmish. And in this case, you better take more long-range units into battle. If the Ax is on the icon, you will probably meet Ax Cavalier, against which it is better to use powerful melee units.

In addition, the Skirmishes badge lets you know what value victory in this battle will have for you. After each battle, you can collect a lot of resources. However, the quality and quantity of awards depend on your level of donations in each country. Simply put, Skirmishes in countries with higher donation rates are more important to you. Indeed, in such countries, after the battle, you will receive not only fruits and vegetables but also valuable materials for improving weapons, such as Silver.

Among other things, Skirmishes are a great way to test recruited characters or check in practice a new strategy outside of story battles. However, in everything else, Skirmishes in Fire Emblem Engage work like the story battles. Each player will determine the value and necessity of such activity for himself. However, if you need a lot of resources and there are no Skirmishes on the map yet, then you should learn how to respawn Skirmishes in Fire Emblem Engage.

Fire Emblem Engage is available on Nintendo Switch.
