The Milky Way Map is a Relic in Vampire Survivors that permanently unlocks the ability to view a Stage’s layout from the pause menu. Unfortunately, the map does not show information such as environmental obstacles, enemy types, bosses, or accessible pathways, but it will reveal items on the Stage, including Relics, Pick Ups, Weapons, Stage Items, and Treasure Chests. While the latest Stage from the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC is very varied in its layout, older Stages like the Mad Forest or The Bone Zone can be hard to navigate without a map. Therefore, unlocking the Milky Way Map is a great way to reveal a Stage’s points of interest in Vampire Survivors.

Unlocking the Milky Way Map in Vampire Survivors

Finding the Map in Vampire Survivors

To unlock the Milky Way Map in Vampire Survivors, players must first gain access to the Dairy Plant, the third Main Stage in the game. The Dairy Plant becomes available after players reach Level 40 with their character in the Inlaid Library. For newcomers, the library is unlocked by attaining Level 20 in the Mad Forest.

Once players have unlocked the Dairy Plant in Vampire Survivors, they must travel southward to find the Milky Way Map. If players have item markers enabled, they should see a green arrow pointing to the bottom of the screen. Accordingly, survivors must follow this arrow to reach their destination. According to YouTuber Black Axon, it will take about two to three minutes to reach the Milky Way Map’s location in the Dairy Plant, but the time will vary depending on the speed of the player character.

The map will be floating at the center of four manholes, which sit in the center of four white rectangles. It might seem like the map is unguarded, but when players approach its position, a circle of heavily armored knights will spawn in a circle surrounding the Relic. These knights can be very challenging to kill if players are under-leveled. Fortunately, they do not need to be defeated to pick up the Milky Way Map. Therefore, players are advised to maneuver past the knights, grab the map, and rush away before becoming overwhelmed. Once the Relic has been obtained, the Stage’s map will appear whenever players pause the game.

Vampire Survivors is available on Android, iOS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PC.
