What is the Impossible Mode in Dead Space Remake?

The impossible Mode is the highest difficulty mode in the Death Space Remake. It is designed for only the most experienced players and requires a lot of skill to beat. It has higher enemy health, more powerful weapons, and much deadlier traps.

You can unlock this Mode after getting your hand on Maker Fragments and can not get them in the first game through. You have to complete the game story and then start from the beginning with New Game+. Once you have collected 12 Marker Fragments, you can start with the impossible Mode. Also, Dead Space Alternative Ending will be unlocked after you collect all of these marker Fragments.

The most significant difficulty of this Mode is Auto Saves are turned off. So if you fall during the battle, you have to start from the beginning. In this Mode, enemies hit harder and fewer resources will be available than in other ways. ย  Also, Isaac Clarke is more vulnerable to enemy attacks than previous Modes. Therefore, playing the hard way in New Game + is recommended before entering the Impossible Mode.

There are great rewards for those brave enough to play this Mode. The Untouchable Trophy, Hand Cannon weapon, and Burnished Suit can make future playthroughs easier or more fun. Don’t forget you will also be able to see the Alternative Ending once you finish the Impossible Mode.
