Collectibles are a staple of platformer games, and Spongebob’s latest adventure in Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake from THQ Nordic also features quite a lot of them. Some will give you bonus outfits, some stat boosts, and others are only there to be collected. Here’s where you can find all the Gold Underwear and Gold Spatulas collectibles in Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake.
Gold Underwear is one of the most useful collectibles that Spongebob can get, giving him a permanent +1 bonus to his maximum Health.
Gold Underwear #1
- Location: Paparazzi Street, “Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom”
The first Gold Underwear is located just across the Coffee Bowl Cafe but you have to take a short detour to reach that platform. When you see the Cafe building from the Paparazzi Street checkpoint, take a left. Take the stairs, open the floating blow-up platform, and jump to the building’s platform in front of you. Keep jumping on top of the buildings until you reach the stacked Tiki Crates.
Stand on top of the Tiki Crates then use double jump, glide, and Karate Kick to get past the gap to the building across the street. On the second platform lies the Gold Underwear.
Gold Underwear #2
- Location: Castle Courtyard, “Medieval Sulfur Fields”
The Gold Underwear is inside the Blacksmith Shop, but unfortunately, the entrance is blocked by a bunch of Stone Tiki Crates. Go to your right and head inside the door leading to the castle’s wall tower instead. Climb up the broken staircase to reach the top of the tower then drop down to a section of the wall with hidden spikes.
Stand near the edge of the outer part of the wall and look down; you should see a small ledge with Tiki Crates blocking the way. Drop down there, destroy the Crates, and go inside for the second and last Gold Underwear. Then use the explosives to destroy the Stone Crates.
Meanwhile, unlike Gold Underwear, finding Gold Spatulas in Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake won’t give you any stat bonuses and are just there as collectibles instead.
Gold Spatula #1
- Location: Ms. Puff’s Riding School, “Wild West Jellyfish Fields”
Enter the Riding School area then go straight near the cart just in front of the cliff on your right. Climb the cliff by jumping on Tiki Crates then follow the wooden platform. Jump on top of three metal floating Tikis until you reach the first tall rock platform.
Look to your right, glide down to the lower rock platform, and jump on top of the three stacked Tiki Crates to get your first Gold Spatula in Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake.
Gold Spatula #2:
- Location: Back Alley, “Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom”
After learning the Karate Kick, go to your right and you should see a blue trailer van near Squid Van Hammerschmidt. Inside the blue trailer van, there are four Tiki Crates hiding the Spatula behind them.
Gold Spatula #3:
- Location: Musical Mermaid, “Pirate Goo Lagoon”
The third Gold Spatula is near the Mermaid Music minigame. From the Humming Mermaid NPC location, carefully climb the tall cliff to the left of the shipwreck. When you see a stacked Tiki Chest, you might want to use it as a jumping platform first before breaking them. The collectible can be found on top of the cliff.
Gold Spatula #4:
- Location: Shadow Theater, “Halloween Rock Bottom”
From the left of the Shadow Theater, you should see two floating blow-up platforms near a pumpkin. Open and jump over them and keep following the wooden platform. Once you reach the top and see the green button, look to your right for a fishhook. Use it to swing across and reach the opposite rooftop where the fourth Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Gold Spatula resides.
Gold Spatula #5:
- Location: Algae Jungle, “Prehistoric Kelp Forest”
Once you have reached the platforming area with hot magma down below, jump over the venus flytrap platforms until you get to the halfway point and see jump pads. Jump to the first jump pad then go to your left and glide down to the second, lone jump pad for the Spatula.
Gold Spatula #6:
- Location: Meanderson River, “Medieval Sulfur Fields”
After crossing the Meanderson River, the Gold Spatula is on top of the rock ledge near the fourth Pro-Aging Cream location in the fight arena. Just keep climbing the ledges then look to your left. Glide down and continue jumping on top of the ledges and floating Tiki platform to obtain it.
Gold Spatula #7:
- Location: Tunnel of Glove, “Jelly Glove World”
From the Tunnel of Glove checkpoint, head to your right until you see a giant painting of Spongebob and Patrick. Simply destroy this fake wall to reveal the seventh Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Gold Spatula on top of Tiki Crates.
Gold Spatula #8:
- Location: Spongebob’s House, “Bikini Bottom”
Just across Spongebob’s Pineapple House and to the left of the portal, there’s a tall rock. On top of it, there’s a small crate with the last Spatula inside; break it and grab the content.
