Agent 47 is no longer a mere fictional character. Thanks to Realm Pictures, the Hitman protagonist came under the command of participants who could instruct him to perform actions such as kill and steal from people. But don’t worry–they’re all actors. So please do not try this at home. Unless you’re one of the people controlling Agent 47.

Realm Pictures was contacted by IO-Interactive with a request to create a real-life interactive version of Hitman. The result was actor Liam Brennan and voice actor David Bateson sneaking through a mansion at the behest of different groups of participants who would make for very lousy spies themselves. There are a variety of methods forย successfully assassinating the target (and, of course, for failing), and watching the participants stumble through the scenario provides plenty of amusement. They… do realize these are actors, right?
This isn’t the first real life game interpretation Realm Pictures has done. They also conceived a Real Life First Person Shooter zombie survival game in which Chatroulette users were asked to take control and give instructions to the witty protagonist over the Internet.
While I’m sure a real assassin would never consider taking orders from a bunch of random gamers, the amount of interactivity was impressive (ironic considering it was real life). Dropping a statue on someone’s head? Wow. This would be a very good time to say “no antagonists were harmed in the making of this game.”
