2023 is stacked with amazing games and even though we have only spent two months of it, many amazing games have been released. Atomic Heart was among the most anticipated first-person shooter games of this year that were released a little while ago. In Atomic Heart, you can use different cartridges to make your weapon more powerful, and here is how to load a weapon cartridge in the game.

How to Load a Weapon Cartridge in Atomic Heart

Weapon Cartridges are items in Atomic Heart that will make your weapon of choice somehow stronger. For instance, you can use a shock cartridge that deals shock damage or incendiary to burn the enemy once the bullet hits them.

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t explain very well how to change and load a weapon cartridge. This means you either have to figure it out on your own, or simply search about it on the internet.

You can load and change your weapon cartridge through the quick item wheel menu that you can access by pressing the Square Button on your PlayStation controller or X on your Xbox Controller.

You can use this wheel to select different weapons you carry, choose a throwable, and also to change the cartridge of your weapon.

So first press and hold the button set for the quick time wheel and use your left joystick to navigate. Then you can use R2 on PlayStation or RT on Xbox to edit the slot.

Once you’ve hit press the button, you can use the Left Stick to pick the cartridge you like to use and load it for your weapon. In case you are already using it, you will see a little weapon icon near it as it indicates you are already using this cartridge.
