Marvel is gearing up for Civil War 2, the comic event that will once again pit all of its heroes against each other.
In preparation, they have released a series of teaser images confirming what characters will join the fray. Iron Man’s team will consist of Black Widow, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Hercules, Black Panther, Thor, Star-Lord, Deadpool, Hulk (the Amadeus Cho version), Luke Cage, Miss America Chavez, Daredevil and Ms. Marvel.
Captain Marvel’s team will include She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Steve Roger’s Captain America, War Machine, Spectrum, The Winter Soldier, Blue Marvel, Medusa, Vision, and both versions of Spider-Man (Peter Parker and Miles Morales).
Each teaser image is emblazoned with the slogan “Protect the Future. Change the Future.” The event will undoubtedly make waves across the entirety of Marvel’s 616 universe.
The original Civil War pitted Iron Man against Captain America as they argued about whether heroes should be forced to register their identities. Civil War 2 will see Iron Man and Captain Marvel waging war.
A mysterious visitor from the future comes to the characters and is able to tell them of events before they transpire. The issue at hand is whether or not criminals should be held accountable for their crimes before they have even been committed. The Story will be penned by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by David Marquez.
Civil War 2 Starts in June.
