Rock Band 4 PC Offers “All DLC Included” For $2500

Developer Harmonix is currently running a crowdfunding campaign to port Rock Band 4 over to PC through the website Fig. Fig was founded in part by Alex Rigopulos, the Chief Creative Director of Harmonix, as a way to give backers of games more control by allowing them to actually invest in the games being created. With just eleven days left in the campaign, a new backer tier has been added to the PC port of Rock Band 4 that would unlock all available DLC upon the game’s release, as well as the everything included in the regular backer tier for the game.

One of the biggest issues in bringing Rock Band 4 to the PC is that all of the available DLC tracks are tied to whatever system they were purchased on. If you owned Rock Band 2 for XBox 360 and bought 300 tracks for it, you could play them in Rock Band 4 for XBox One. However, you can’t buy Rock Band 4 for PS4 (or PC, if it does meet its goal on Fig) and play those tracks without having to purchase them again. For the chump change of $2500, backers will receive a full copy of the game, some swag like a t-shirt and a chat with the developers, and all 2000+ songs that are available when the PC version releases. DLC songs usually sell for about $2 a pop, so this would be a huge discount (although it is still a very steep cost).

This new tier may have been added because the Rock Band 4 campaign is struggling a bit. As of this writing, they are only 33% of the way to their goal of $1.5 million with only eleven days to go.
