AMC has released an official teaser image of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan for the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead.
The photo (below) give a glimpse of his iconic slicked-back hair, leather jacket, and baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he calls “Lucille.”
The hotly anticipated debut of the big baddy has been the talking point throughout the season, with a Dutch video trailer having been leaked earlier in the week, which has recently been taking down by AMC.
Known in the comics as the most notorious antagonist, he plays a big role in disrupting the group, proving to be their biggest adversary to date.
Known for his foul mouth in the comics, Negan’s scenes were shot with and without the use of profanity, the cleaner takes will be used for television while the uncensored version will be available on the DVD and Blu-Ray when it releases this fall. Series creator Robert Kirkman spoke to the challenges of adapting Negan to television “there are certain words that try as I might, we are not allowed to say on AMC.” Fortunately for fans that want the full, uncensored Negan, the “extras will be extra-special on Blu-ray.”
Negan will make his small-screen debut on The Walking Dead’s 90-minute long season finale, airing this Sunday, April 3 on AMC.
