Kelly Clarkson’s ex-father-in-law lawsuit has taken a new turn after the singer presented new evidence in court alleging that her ex-father-in-law Narvel Blackstock owes her millions in commission.

Kelly Clarkson recently revealed she doesn’t see herself getting back on the dating scene following her bitter split from her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

For many of her followers, her stance will not come as a surprise. The singer, 40, has been embroiled in a messy legal tussle with her ex-husband since they split in 2020.

Clarkson and Brandon were married for seven years before their split. The two share two children — daughter River Rose, 8, and son Remington Alexander, 6.

Their divorce was finalized in March 2022, with the singer given primary custody of their two children. However, Clarkson was ordered to pay Brandon $115k monthly in spousal support and an extra $46K a month in child support.

While the two were married Clarkson was signed onto Starstruck Management Group — owned by her ex-father-in-law Narvel Blackstock. After she filed for divorce, the company sued her over commissions. This has led to a messy legal tussle that has lasted three years.

Kelly Clarkson’s Lawsuit Evidence Against Her Ex-Father-in-Law Narvel Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-father-in-law, Narvel Blackstock’s lawsuit claimed she owed $1.4 million and an additional estimated $5.4 million in future commissions.

However, the singer quickly fired back with her lawsuit, accusing the company of violating California Labor Code. She proceeded to ask that her agreement with the company be “declared void and unenforceable.” Clarkson also requested a refund for the millions of dollars paid to the company over the year.

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-father-in-law lawsuit has seen many twists and turns since it first launched in 2020. More recently, the “Piece By Piece” singer presented new evidence in court against her ex-father-in-law.

Lawyers representing both her ex-father-in-law and ex-husband also provided new evidence in court for the California Labor Commission.

The evidence was brought forward by both sides to buttress their case at an evidentiary hearing. However, the California Labor Commission has yet to make a ruling on the ongoing dispute.

With the new evidence provided, it seems there is an end in sight for both parties. Kelly Clarkson’s ex-father-in-law lawsuit has taken the better part of the last few years and all parties will crave a fast resolution at this point.
