Fallout 76 is a post-apocalyptic open-world game where players must scavenge for resources to survive in a harsh and dangerous environment. One of the essential resources in the game is Fiber Optics, a component used for crafting various items, including high-tech weapons and armor. However, acquiring Fiber Optics can be challenging, especially for new players still learning the ropes. This guide will show you how to get this challenge done in Fallout 76. Following our step-by-step instructions, you can turn everyday Junk items into valuable Fiber Optics, making crafting the items you need to survive in the wasteland easier. So let’s get started!

Fiber optics can be found in Biometric Scanners, Flight Data Recorders, High Powered Microscopes, and Microscopes. You don’t have to go to some high-tech laboratory to get these items. Instead, you can easily find them in robot-filled areas or labs, which means you’ll have to be ready to fight some metal beasts.

Here’s a list of some hotspots where you can Scrap Junk to Produce Fiber Optics in Fallout 76:

  • Fort Defiance
  •  Beckley
  • ATLAS Observatory
  • National Radio Astronomy Research Center
  • Robco Research Center
  • The Whitespring Resort.

These places are filled with robots and microscopes, and Biometric Scanners are known to drop in Beckley. If you’re looking for Fog Crawlers to kill, you can find them all over the map but don’t expect many fiber optics drops from them.
