Are you finding it hard to locate the Conger Eel? Finding this creature can be pretty elusive. You need to know where to find Conger Eel and how to find it in order to complete the Best Before Challenge. Here are some tricks to watch out for and where to find Conger Eel in Dredge. The pursuit is initiated by speaking to a resident in Ingfel. Once players get to Ingfel, a curious woman will request you deliver a Conger Eel from the area they have not been able to get it from for a while. She will especially ask for the delivery to be rotting.

Where to Find Conger Eel in Dredge

It is worth noting that, you can only fish for Conge Eel at night when the water is most disturbed. This means that you must wait until nightfall to embark on their fishing trip. At this time, players can observe well what creature is under the water.

While en route, you need to navigate along the outside of the cliffs to avoid the colossal eel that is present closer to the town. Additionally, a fishing rod that is capable of catching the eel in shallow waters.

Dredge: Where to find Conger Eel

Players must choose one of the several fishing spots in the Gale Cliffs Region that are swarming with Conger Eel in Dredge. Observing swimming creatures such as Conger Eels allows you to locate the spots for catching them. This is crucial to avoid filling up the cargo with unnecessary fish. The Conge Eels can be hard to detect due to murky waters. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that some areas may have relatively clear water, so it is advisable to be watchful for such areas.

The Conge Eel can be distinguished by its distinct features, including its elongated and slim bodies, as well as its dark gray color. Their sharp teeth become noticeable when their mouth is open. Additionally, they possess long, thin fins protruding from the sides of their bodies.

Catching the Conger Eel in Dredge

It is important to know that you cannot complete the pursuit until you have completed the Heritage request in Chapter 2. The Conger Eel in Dredge only inhabits a tunnel on coordinates N4′ to ‘O4 that has been blocked off by debris. Players need to detonate the debris to gain access, which requires them to get packed explosives. Players can only purchase this from Ingfell’s retired whalers after completing Heritage inside the tunnel. Players need to use the fishing rod to capture the Conger Eels.

Players can then head back to Ingfell dock, where they may rest while waiting for theย  Conger Eel to rot. They may then talk to the resident to receive their reward.

Note that the NPC will not accept players’ attempts to deliver a different kind of fish, even if it’s rotten. It has to be the Conger Eel.
