Are you the type that isn’t looking for the typical pitching style in MLB The Show 23? If so, then perhaps the submarine style is more down your avenue. This isn’t an easy way of pitching to master or play against, but that’s where the fun lies. So, we’ll highlight all the submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 23 and the best ways to utilize this style.
All Submarine Pitchers in MLB The Show 23
For those who don’t know, the submarine is a unique baseball pitching style where the pitchers send the ball soaring just above the ground. This is not to be mistaken with an underhanded throw. Submarine releases the ball differently, aiming it toward the pitching arm and moving at ridiculously fast speeds.
In MLB The Show 23, there are not that many submarine pitchers. Their rarity can make them even more sought-after for many players who want a different way of pitching.
Here are the true submarine pitchers in the game:
- Adam Cimber (Toronto Blue Jays)
- Gregory Wyatt Mill (Boston Red Sox)
- Tyler Rogers (San Francisco Giants)
Some might claim other pitchers, such as Ryan Thompson, can also count toward submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 23. However, his (and others like him) pitching style more closely resembles that of a sidearm pitcher.

Submarine Pitcher Tips in MLB The Show 23
Remember that as you create your character, you can further adapt the submarine pitch as you see fit. For instance, you can change what hand you will pitch with. In your character creation screen, go under “General Info” and scroll down to “Throw Hand.”
The pitching arm plays a major deal in how well submarine pitchers work in MLB The Show 23. A right-hand pitcher can easily make things difficult for a right-hand batter, and the same goes for left-handed users.
If you’re unsure about this style, be sure to practice often, as you can quickly strike out the opponent with ease once you master the submarine style of pitching.
