XDefiant is Ubisoft’s latest attempt at cracking into the competitive first-person shooter genre after the success of Rainbow Six Siege. Ditching the Tom Clancy brand, the game still features factions from series’ favorites such as the Echelon, Phantoms, and DedSec. Similar to many competitive online games on the market, though, there are times when players will be unable to connect to the game for one reason or another. Here’s how you can check the XDefiant server status to see if the game’s server is down and currently inaccessible or not.

In case you cannot connect to XDefiant, the first thing you should do is take a look at the game’s Help Page and make sure that Ubisoft has not announced any connectivity problems. Then, you will want to check up on the game’s official Twitter accounts for any latest information or server outage:

  • @PlayXDefiant (XDefiant official Twitter account)
  • @UbisoftSupport (Ubisoft’s official customer service Twitter account)

Most Ubisoft multiplayer games, such as Rainbow Six Siege and Division 2, have their own dedicated server status page. Considering XDefiant has not yet officially released and is still in the Closed Beta phase at the time of writing, the Assassin’s Creed series developer is probably still preparing a lot of stuff regarding server maintenance. We will update this article once Ubisoft has launched a dedicated server status page for XDefiant.

Don’t forget that connectivity issues in online games can also occur when PlayStation or Xbox server is having an issue. You can see each console’s server availability by going to these links below:

  • PlayStation Network
  • Xbox Live

And last but not least, it is best to check how long is XDefiant‘s Beta period and when is the launch date as well, as attempting to access the servers outside of these dates, aside from maintenance and similar situations, may result in being unable to play the latest addition to the competitive first-person shooter scene. Keep reading below for the complete list of the game’s Beta periods and release dates that Ubisoft has announced so far.

  • Closed Beta Period #1:
    • Closed Beta server opens: April 13th, 2023, at 10 AM PT
    • Closed Beta server closes: April 23rd, 2023, at 11 PM PT
