The Dark Waterย DMZย mission is a new Tier 2 Redacted faction assignment added inย Warzone 2ย Season 3 update. This mission will take you underwater to find an item, and you need to find a new field upgrade to stay underwater for a long time. Here’s how!
What Are The Objectives of Dark Water DMZ Mission?
- Find a Rebreather Field Upgrade.
- Find the Cartel Safehouse key.
- Extract with the Cartel’s laptop.
In the Dark Water DMZ mission, your first objective is to find a Rebreather. This new field upgrade gives you the advantage of staying underwater for more time, and you’ll use this feature a lot here! In fact, your task is to find a key called the “Cartel Safehouse” from under the water on the southern side of the Al-Mazrah.
The image above shows the exact location of where you can find this item. You need to bring yourself a Rebreather, take it underwater with you, and get under the sea where you see a sunken ship. Here, you must find a cracked side of the ship to get inside and go straight forward until you see a desk with the key. Pick the key, and use the Rebreather to stay alive and get out of the water.

After that, you must look for a warehouse to use the key on. The location you need is in the image above. The Cartel warehouse is located on the Hafid Port, on the right side of its Stronghold. You should probably know this place for the Tier 1 missions, where you need to find the Cartel’s items here or kill many of their soldiers.
Once you find the warehouse and get inside, you must find an item called the “Las Almas Laptop.” Grab the thing, and exfil successfully to complete the Dark Water DMZ mission in Warzone 2. Remember that this mission’s second and third objectives should be completed in the same deployment unless you use a Secure Backpack to save your items even after you get killed in action. Also, if you have trouble finding a Rebreather, check the hospitals on the map for this field upgrade!
Completing the Dark Water DMZ mission in Warzone 2 rewards you with 7.5K XP to progress through the Battle Pass and level up. You’ll also achieve a TAQ-V contraband weapon to use and upgrade in the DMZ mode.
