The survival genre might be one of the oldest in the gaming world. Since The Oregon Trail was released, many developers have released games of this genre with different gimmicks to attract players. Usually, we have games set in a forest or space, yet, the people of Unknown Worlds Entertainment went deeper for its titles. Subnautica launched in early access in 2016, with an official release in 2018. This game got fantastic scores which led to a sequel. According to someone working for the company, the anticipated Subnautica 3 game might reveal some details sooner than we thought.
The lead artist of Unknown Worlds says there will be details about Subnautica 3 soon
This information comes from the lead artist of the company behind Subnautica, which makes the information entirely believable. If what they say is true, we might see some details about the series’ third game soon. The first game was fantastic, with people praising its setting. No one ever imagined an underwater survival game, and Unknown Worlds delivered it. The sequel wasn’t as great as the first, but it added some new mechanics that made survival much harder.
I worked on these first 3 scenes 8 years ago… Wtf. My Shire scene was 2 years ago! Time is flying by.. It's scary.
I really need to work on some new things soon. We'll have tons of stuff to show from the next @Subnautica game though.. Can't say when, but it's gonna be awesome. pic.twitter.com/iDBFrN9zwx

We don’t know what to expect from the franchise’s third game, but we can’t wait for details about Subnautica 3. While the information might be coming, it is uncertain how soon we’ll get it. It’s been two years since we got the official release of Subnautica: Below Zero, so we believe another game is due. It is fun to imagine what mechanics the developers will include this time. Many people will play the game if there’s underwater exploration, which is one of the staples of this franchise. This game and SOMA are titles that show how scary exploring the ocean’s depths is. We hope the third entry raises the bar even more because we need our doses of Subnautica soon.
