With Dead Island 2 here, many people are trying to grasp its systems, features, and more. One of the things that many new games change is the way we save our game. Usually, you don’t have to do anything but wait for the autosave feature to kick in, which is helpful. Yet, some people prefer manual saves to keep that file at a certain point in the game and load it if things go south. With the new game here, many people wonder how to save their game in Dead Island 2. If you are asking yourself that, here we have the answer.

Fortunately or unfortunately for some, Dead Island 2 does not feature any manual save game mechanic. To save your game, you’ll need to wait for the autosave feature to kick in. If you plan to have a specific save file at a certain point of the game, that won’t be possible. Yet, not everything is as terrible as it sounds. While some people would love to have manual saves, Dead Island 2 has a straightforward save system that kicks in constantly. You shouldn’t fear losing any sort of progress while playing this title.

Manual saving should be something that AAA games must include. Autosaving is alright, but having a chance to save at specific points of the game as we see fit is always nice. Yet, the campaign of Dead Island 2 is relatively short, so the need to save your game at specific points isn’t necessary. Plus, this game doesn’t feature a lot of choices that’ll drastically change the game. The most significant choice relies on choosing your character, but you’ll need to start a new game every time.

So far, people like this title which brings fun combat and some great visuals. Even if the story is dull, people are in it for the many creative ways to take down zombies. Some believe this is this title’s core gameplay, and we agree. That is why it isn’t terrible if you cannot save your game manually in Dead Island 2. As always, some features could arrive later with some updates, but the game is enjoyable without needing it. If you have this title, we recommend trying all characters and different builds to check which is your favorite.
