Fallen Order did a lot right but did quite a few things wrong. For one, it had some unfriendly user mechanics, like being unable to skip cutscenes. In Star Wars Jedi Survivor, we went into the game early to test and see if you could skip cutscenes before you hop into Cal’s shoes for another Sith-slaying adventure.

Whether it is Star Wars Jedi Survivor or any other game, being able to skip cutscenes can be beneficial. You may want to do it for a speedrun, on a New Game Plus playthrough, and do not want to rewatch things you had seen before or any other personal reason you may have to enjoy your time with the game, whether you are playing it for the first time or the hundredth. Let us get to the bottom of this.

No matter what your reasonings are, you can skip the cutscenes in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. You might miss some major story moments, but no matter your reasoning, you can. Just hold B (Xbox), circle (PlayStation), or spacebar (PC) to get into the gameplay. It makes it quick and simple without getting in the way.

Fallen Order allowed you to pause but not skip what was happening in the story. You may worry that being able to jump past opens the door to an accident. Holding the button makes it difficult to do something you are not meaning to do. But, if you need a snack or any kind of break, you can still pause in the sequel. Not only that, but you can access all of the other in-game menus like settings, Journey, and the Tactical Guide when pausing a cutscene.

The ability to skip cutscenes in Star Wars Jedi Survivor is one of the many quality-of-life and accessibility changes made to the game. When I got to play early for three hours for a preview event, I got to see things like fast travel to improve the overall experience of playing. On the other side, accessibility options are expanded, like letting you skip QTEs, slow motion to make combat easier, and the ability to remove fall damage (you bet I disabled it). When you get your hands on the game, you will be able to see how much has been built up from its predecessor for a greater gaming experience.
