To find every Fool’s Box Treasure in Honkai Star Rail, you have to complete the “Vessel of Mediocrity” mission in Jarilo-VI. This Adventure Mission will be unlocked once you have finished the “Lying in Rust” quest and reached Trailblaze Level 18. This quest chain will ask you to complete a number of mind-bending box-pushing puzzles to help an NPC uncover her mysterious past. Honkai Star Rail: Vessel of Mediocrity Fool’s Box Treasure Part 1
The first two Fool’s Boxes for the “Vessel of Mediocrity” mission are found in the middle of the Backwater Pass area of Jarilo-VI’s Belobog. Speak to a mysterious little girl NPC named Cyrille. She seems to need to get out of the area, but the only way we can help her is by arranging boxes. For that reason, we’ll have to complete two Fool’s Box puzzles.
Puzzle #1 Solution
Puzzle #1 is pretty much just a tutorial for this type of quest. Move the box located on the right one step forward into the glowing square to complete it.
Puzzle #2 Solution
- First, you will want to push the box on the right to the right just once.
- Then, shift the box in the middle to the left once.
Cyrille will thank you, but she says she still can’t get out of there and keeps saying cryptic stuff about “him.” Afterward, speak with Sampo at Boulder Town about this curious incident. Honkai Star Rail: Vessel of Mediocrity Fool’s Box Treasure Part 2
Now that “Vessel of Mediocrity” Part 1 is done, pass one day or wait until the daily reset. Then head over to the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone. A blue quest icon should pop up in the southwestern corner. This time around, Cyrille has suddenly grown up into a young woman for some reason and is talking about someone called “Mr. Stefan.” Speak with her and then it’s time to move some boxes.
Puzzle #1 Solution
- Move the box at the leftmost position upwards twice until it hits another box.
- Push the uppermost box to the right just once.
- After that, look below. Move the box below you downward once.
- Push the box in front of Cyrille to the right.
- Now, with one Cyrille gone, go back to the beginning spot.
- Move the leftmost box upwards once.
- Then move the rightmost box upwards once until all the boxes surround the second Cyrille.
- Push away the box in front of Cyrille.
Puzzle #2 Solution
- Push the rightmost box three times to the right.
- Move the middle box in the corner forward once.
- Rescue one Cyrille.
- Push the box under you downward once to rescue another Cyrille.
- Lastly, move the box just above the last Cyrille to the left once.
Slowly, Cyrille is able to uncover her mysterious past and identity. But she won’t reveal them to you because, apparently, she has betrayed Mr. Stefan in one way or another. Leave her to her own device, reap the reward of this Fool’s Box Treasure quest in Honkai Star Rail, and report this to Dunn. The second part of this quest could be slightly complicated. Honkai Star Rail: Vessel of Mediocrity Fool’s Box Treasure Part 3
For the last part, wait until Dunn sends you a message. Speak with Dunn again so the “Vessel of Mediocrity” Part 3 icon appears. You should see it at the top of the Everwinter Hill area. There, talk to a Guardian Shadow Fragmentum. She will say that everyone and Mr. Stefan have left her all alone. As her final request, Cyrille’s Fragmentum will ask you to help her bring to light her unfortunate past.
Keep in mind that you have to wait for another daily reset to find the last Fool’s Box Treasure quest in Honkai Star Rail. If the last part still won’t appear, try completing Jarilo-VI’s main story mission and beat the final boss first.
Puzzle Solution
- First, push the box in front of you forward three times.
- Now you’re in front of one Cyrille.
- Push the box below her to the right once.
- Move the box beside where the first Cyrille was to the right, once.
- Then push the box above the top right Cyrille to the right twice until it gets stuck in a corner.
- Push the box in front of the top right Cyrille to the left and rescue her.
- Go back to where the first Cyrille was and move the box below you downward once.
- Kick the box in front of the Cyrille nearest to you downward and rescue her.
- Now the only Cyrille left is the leftmost one.
- Move the box on top of you upward once.
- Then push the box to your right once.
- Lastly, push the box downward in front of the last Cyrille.
Complete the puzzle, and you’ll have to face off against a boss fight to clear out the quest. This one is the toughest Fool’s Box puzzle yet. Additional rewards can be obtained once you speak with Manya at the Administrative District regarding Cyrille and part of Belobog’s history.
Now if you’re wondering who Cyrille actually is, then continue reading for a minor spoiler. Turns out, Cyrille was Cyrille Rand, the eighth Supreme Guardian of Belobog. She was infamously called Cyrille the Fool because of her incompetence in governance and controlled by her Minister of Internal Affairs, Stefan Marquez. Had enough of their puppet ruler, residents of Belobog trapped her into an arsenal chest and pushed it off a cliff. Her Echoes were finally brought to peace once the Honkai Star Rail Trailblazer found all of the Fool’s Boxes.
