Southern Charm‘s Kathryn Dennis loses custody of her children. This just happened, and the judge said her ex was more capable of raising her two children. The reality is she’s been followed by drama and problems for some time. One of those problems was her drug addiction. Something she has been fighting for some time now. Her addiction is to pills, and it’s been a losing battle for her so far. But there is no bigger wake-up call than to lose your kids.
If that doesn’t want to make her focus on getting healthier, nothing will. Moreover, you don’t wish this on anyone. It will take its toll on the kids and the parents. But if a judge made the ruling, they have those positions for a reason.

“Kathryn Dennis from Southern Charm no longer has joint custody of her two children after a judge’s ruling gave full custody to her ex, Thomas Ravenel. The Bravo star has had a rough few years thanks to her alleged drug issues but seemed to have gotten her life back on track. Even though Kathryn is no longer a part of Southern Charm, she is still very much in the public eye. In a shocking verdict, Judge Daniel E. Martin, Jr. found that the disgraced former South Carolina treasurer was more suited to be the full-time parent to the two young children.”
Honestly, this is a tough story. You really never want a family to split up for any reason. It’s also a slippery slope because losing custody could make her relapse really badly. It becomes this self-perpetuating loop for her. As stated prior, this should act as a catalyst and give her even more incentive to kick the drugs and get her act together. Our hearts go out to her and her family during this time.
