Dragonriding is one of the best new additions to come in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. This fresh spin on flying mounts makes soaring around the world a breeze. However, only four different dragonriding mounts launched with the expansion. In Patch 10.1 – Embers of Neltharion, Blizzard has added some additional rewards, including a new dragonriding mount to collect called the Winding Slitherdrake. Here is everything you know on how to obtain the Winding Slitherdrake in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
How to Get the Winding Slitherdrake in World of Warcraft
The Winding Slitherdrake in World of Warcraft is a reward from the Patch 10.1 Embers of Neltharion campaign. Specifically, you will want to complete Chapter Five – Inherited Sin to add this new dragonriding mount to your collection. Blizzard is notorious for timegating, however. Chapter Five of the Embers of Neltharion campaign does not unlock until the second week of Patch 10.1. For this reason, you might need to wait a bit before you can obtain the Winding Slitherdrake.
You must first complete the available four chapters of the campaign before you can progress to Chapter Five. Once Inherited Sin becomes available, all you need to do is pick up the quest from Ebyssian atop the Seat of the Aspects. Next, follow the quest chain into Zaralek Cavern until you arrive at the Slitherdrake Roost. You will discover that some Neltharion loyalists are poaching the creatures here and will be granted Winding Slitherdrake mount upon eliminating the threat and completing the chapter.

Blizzard has stated that dragonriding has been so successful that it will likely be carried over into the rest of World of Warcraft in the future. The Winding Slitherdrake is a unique dragonriding mount that has never before been seen in the game. It is loosely based on the cloud serpents from Mists of Pandaria.
