You can use and control most functions of a Wing in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom by standing on it. You will encounter a Wing for the first time in the game soon after completing the third shrine. However, first, you must launch it into the air using the Ultrahand abilities to get the Wing on the rails. Once you get it on the rail, climb on it and ride downhill to launch it into the air.

Below are the functions you can make  use of while standing on the Wing:

  1. Normal glide: Stand on it, and the Wing will glide Normally.
  2. Turn the Wing: Walk Gently to the side you want to turn.
  3. Dive and aim down to the ground: Gently walk to the front.
  4. Rise to the air: Slowly walk to the back.
  5. Move faster: Use the Ultrahand ability to add more Zonai Devices to the Wing in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. First ensures you have enough battery power to reach your destinations since, as in most other games, the Zonai Devices do not have infinite energy.
  6. Landing: Taking off from the Wing is the hardest part of the ride. Use your Ultra hand to grab the Wing and any devices and fly off at the drop location. Once the Link is balanced, jump to the edge and call back the Wing.
