Gloom Spawns, known as Gloom Hands, are terrifying new enemies in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Playing as Link, you will come across dark red hands in a number of areas in Hyrule as they emerge from a pool of gloom. These are pesky, powerful enemies that can erase hearts in an instant. They spawn in packs, which makes them even tougher to eliminate. Players have been baffled by how to defeat them, and we have an ultimate recipe. This guide will show you how to defeat Gloom Spawns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Although Gloom Spawns are a problem in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, there is an easy way to defeat them, you need some firepower.

With this said, once you spot Gloom Spawns as they are emerging from that gruesome pool of gloom, your best option is to get on a platform, equip Link with a bow, and add some fire damage to it. Bomb Flower is your best option here, and what you should do is fire 4-5 bomb flower-imbued arrows between these horrible hands. This will set the pack on fire and quickly deplete their damage. Make sure you have the higher ground so the hands can’t reach you. If they catch you, you will probably end up dead in the game. However, start shaking your analog sticks to try and break free from their evil life-sucking grasp.

As the Gloom Spawns are scorching in flames, make sure you have severed all of them as they can regenerate, sort of like a Hydra. If this is to happen, throw yet another exploding arrow into them.

Gloom Spawns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will run after you, chasing you until you get up to a platform and out of reach. If you don’t feel like fighting, this is a great option to avoid a malicious fight.

However, this is not all, once you defeat Gloom Spawns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, it all escalates. You get to fight Phantom Ganon with gloom spreading all over the area. So, one last piece of advice before you take on the Gloom Spawns, make sure you have Gloom resistance armor or food that increases gloom resistance.

These are new enemies in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and serve as miniboss. You get to fight Phantom Ganon afterward and collect some great rewards, which are well worth the effort.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
