Want to know how to defeat Frox in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Zelda’s new title features many challenging and fearsome bosses that awaits you in their gloomy zones. Beating some of these bosses requires specific conditions to be met. Frox, Scourge of the Depths, is a miniboss that you’ll need to use different mechanics to defeat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If you can’t defeat this boss despite all your efforts, let’s offer you a helping hand.
How to Beat Frox the Boss in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
To defeat Frox, fuse your weapon with the Keese Eyeball material and aim at Frox’s eye. This will make Frox stun for a while and fall to the ground, giving you a chance to hit him. When he stands up again, he will launch an air attack. Quickly get away from him and keep running until Frox’s air attack is finished. Once he’s done, use a Keese Eyeball and shoot his eye. To ultimately end Frox, you must destroy the crystals on his back. You can do this by equipping a Rock Hammer or any two-handed weapon. Upon breaking one or two crystals, Frox will launch you into the air. Keep doing the same process until you break all the crystals, and you will finally have beaten Frox.
Another easy way to defeat Frox is to fuse Bomb Flowers to your arrow or weapons. If you fire Bomb Flowers when Frox opens his mouth, it will be faster for you to defeat Frox. Shooting with Bomb Flowers will also stun him for a few seconds. If you don’t have Bomb Flowers, you can find them in any cave. They are often seen more in The Depths and Sky. Beating Frox, the boss, will only take seconds when you apply these simple tactics in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Upon defeating Frox, you’ll get these items as drops;
- Zonaite
- Large Zonaite
- Large Crystallized Charge
- Frox Fang
- Frox Fingernail
- Frox Guts
