On the hunt to get Hearty Radishes in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Hearty Radishes are incredibly difficult to come by in the Nintendo Switch RPG—but for a good reason. Unlike most foods, those who eat cooked Hearty Radishes won’t just have multiple hearts restored but also some extra temporary ones. Thus, you may not need to grind for Lights of Blessing in order to conquer your next boss fight. Here is how you can get Hearty Radishes and everything they can do for you in Tears of the Kingdom.

You can get Hearty Radishes in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom exclusively from the Sky Islands—at least once you start out. As marked above by stamps, it is most populated in Lanayru Sky Archipelago, which you can access by taking the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. Although there are only three here, you can find additional Hearty Radishes in Sokkala Sky Archipelago (as shown below) and on North Necluda Sky’s most northern island. After you have reached one of these locations, the Hearty Radish will come in the form of a small green plant with pink petals on the top.

Despite how rare Hearty Radishes can be, it is entirely possible to farm them on Hyrule. This can be done by first completing the “Teach me a Lesson” string of quests inside Hateno Village’s school. Once that’s out of the way, you can then head over to the field directly south of the school to speak to Uma, who will help you grow Hearty Radishes every two hours. Keep in mind you must have at least one Hearty Radish in order to farm for more.

If you decide to eat a Hearty Radish right away, the food will supply Link with an additional two and a half hearts—but we don’t advise you to do this. Instead, the plant is most beneficial when it’s cooked. As a result, you will end up with the Hearty Fried Wild Greens dish that lends full recovery and at least three extra temporary hearts. You can even expect to earn more temporary hearts by combining it with Raw Meat to make Hearty Steamed Meat. Be forewarned. You cannot stack temporary hearts by eating multiple meals that have this effect. If you do, the second recipe will simply disappear from your inventory without giving Link any added benefits.
