Ubisoft will launch the XDefiant open beta session after a successful closed beta phase. The free-to-play, first-person arena shooter will release later this summer. However, players can enter the open beta session from June 21 to June 23. Suppose you missed the opportunity to play during the closed beta phase. In that case, you can enter the open beta to test out the title, which beat Call of Duty’s viewership on Twitch. Here’s everything you need to know on how to sign up for the open beta for XDefiant.
How To Join for the XDefiant Open Beta
The session is available on multiple platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. To join the open beta session, follow these steps:
- Head over to PlayXDefiant.com
- Scroll down the webpage to find the registration part.
- Register by selecting your preferred platform from Ubisoft Connect for PC, Xbox Series X|S, or PlayStation 5.
- After successfully registering for open beta, you will receive an email from the publisher with instructions to join the session.
If you were not able to join the closed beta even after opting for it, you will receive the open beta session as early access for a day, which is June 20.
The exact timings of the session are as follows:
- Open Session starts at 10 AM PT/7PM CEST on Wednesday, June 21.
- Open Session ends at 11 PM PT Friday, June 23rd / 8AM CEST Saturday, June 24.

XDefiant One Year Roadmap After Open Beta
The Preseason for XDefiant will be six weeks long. It will feature the factions and maps that players have tested during Insider Sessions and Closed Beta. According to the developers, users can expect new weapons, maps, events, and a new faction after every three months. This will help keep the game exciting. The first year will include 4 factions, 12 weapons, and 12 maps.
