Developer Starward Industries have launched an exciting Steam Next Fest demo for The Invincible, an FPS based on the novel of the same name. Members of the team showcased gameplay for the aforementioned demo. It takes gamers through a snippet of the protagonist’s mission in space, where great dangers lie ahead. In space, the perils can always be a surprise, which is certainly the case with The Invincible. The “developer play” footage is on Steam Next Fest for June 2023, so let’s dig into it and see what’s in store for us curious astronauts.
Starward Industries Embarks on a Fantasy Quest with The Invincible
The space race is on in The Invincible! Discoveries throughout the stars have led to many more questions about where we stand as humans. That’s exactly why astrobiologist Yasna is among the many brave souls to travel to different areas of space with a unique crew. Then one mission occurs wherein Yasna unfortunately loses her crewmates on planet Regis III. A search quickly comes into play with Yasna coming closer to encountering humanity’s biggest threat. With the help of our Astrogator, perhaps she can find what we’re looking for out there.
Starward Industries then dives into one of Yasna’s later missions in The Invincible. A great terror is threatening her and Novik, who is communicating with her via communicator. Parts of the footage involve the doctor investigating a scene using high-tech tools. This is all in the demo for The Invincible as well.
With the help of publisher 11 bit studios (Frostpunk, Moonlighter, This War of Mine), Starward Industries aims to bring gamers a thought-provoking experience. The Steam demo for The Invincible is available now for players to check out. As of this writing, it is currently number 5 on Steam’s Most Wishlisted Upcoming Games list for the June Next Fest event.
There is no official release date, though Q3 or Q4 of 2023 is the target for the launch. Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC folks can look forward to the fantastic journey through Regis III sometime soon. Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store will offer the title for mouse & keyboard warriors.
