With each season and chapter of Fortnite, players are introduced to new challenges and tasks to complete, like damaging an opponent with Pod Plant. In Season 3 there are a couple of hidden temples that were added to the game. Along with those, the new skins of Ciri and Yennefer from the world of Witcher were also added. Solving the puzzle of each temple will give you access to that temple’s specific rewards. To solve the puzzles, you have to match a series of brazier flames inside the temple to those located outside or in another room. So in this guide, you can learn how to match flames in Fortnite and solve the temple’s puzzles in no time.
How To Match Flames in Fortnite
In the vast map of Fortnite, there are only two temples with brazier puzzles you have to solve. They all require you to match flames in a specific way. One is called the Hidden Temple and the other is Southern Temple. You can find the exact location of each on the map in the image below. Let’s dive into how to solve the puzzles and get those goodies.
The Hidden Temple Flames Puzzles
You can find the Hidden Temple on the northwest side of the Creeky Compound. Once you get there, you have to offer an Epic rarity item to gain access to the temple. After you’ve presented the item, you will be able to enter the temple. Jump down before using the plank to pass the gap. Go straight and you will see four braziers. Remember which ones are lit and which are unlit.
Then go back and use the little gap on your right side to pass through the wall. Use the stairs and destroy the wall on the right side at the end of the hall. Now you are back at the start of the temple. Use the plank to pass the gap before you and then offer a Legendary item to access the second room.
In this room, you have to match the flames the same as the ones you saw before. For instance, if the two braziers on the right were lit and the two on the left were unlit, you have to extinguish the two braziers on the left. If you do it correctly, the door will open and you can grab your reward from this temple.
The Southern Temple Match Flames Puzzles
The Southern Temple is located southeast of Rumble Ruins. Go inside the temple and turn right to spot the stairs going down. Same as the previous temple, offer an Epic item to gain access to this room. This is the room where you have to solve the puzzle.
Now head back up the temple to see what brazier should be lit and which shouldn’t. One brazier is located at the center of the room and four others are on the second floor. Use the Zip Up to go to the roof and from there drop down to the second floor. Once you’ve found which braziers are unlit, go back to the first room and extinguish them.

Once the door is open, you have to interact with two statues on the right or left. It is based on luck which one will open the door, but it doesn’t matter. If you don’t get it right, you will be teleported into the sky above the temple and you can easily glide down and interact with the other one to open the door. Once it’s open, grab your reward and you are done.
