Are you looking for a Gelatinous Mass location in Final Fantasy 16? Although Clive Rosfield can withstand many opponents with the power of Ifrit, sometimes this is not enough. Indeed, in the battle with the most powerful bosses and orders on the Hunt Board, the best equipment can be a decisive factor in your victory. Ironically, to get materials for the best equipment, you must defeat great opponents. Gelatinous Mass is no exception, and as a valuable crafting material for Drakeslayer’s Bracelets, it’s not easy to get. But we are here to help you and tell you about the Gelatinous Mass location in Final Fantasy 16.

To get the Gelatinous Mass in Final Fantasy 16, you must defeat an A-rank miniboss named Flan Prince. This miniboss is the target of Notorious Mark, aka Muddy [Expletive] Hunt. To accept the order for this boss, you must talk to Nektar and use the Hunt Board.

After accepting the Muddy [Expletive] Hunt, you will know that this creature lives in the Rosaria region near Hawk’s Cry Cliff (use the Obelisk of the same name). When you reach the indicated place, you only need to climb a little to the north, as shown in the image above. Get to the upper right corner and enter the valley. After a few seconds, a terrifying Flan Prince will appear from the ground.

How To Defeat Flan Prince

It is worth noting that Flan Prince is a powerful spell caster. He can cast two spells at a time, and it has a vast spell pool. In addition, he casts randomly and can attack you with melee attacks. So here are some tips to defeat Flan Prince:

  • First, you must heal after each spell hits you. Boss spells are very diverse, and any subsequent attack can kill you.
  • There is a small cooldown between spells, and you should only approach the boss during that period.
  • Before the spell hits you, you will see the area of effect on the floor. The battle arena is quite large, so try to dodge.
  • During the second phase, the boss gains multiple arms and attacks with powerful melee attacks. Dodging many quick attacks is problematic, but they do much less damage than spells.

As we said earlier, you can use Gelatinous Mass to craft Drakeslayer’s Bracelets. But first, you must also complete Blacksmith’s Blues side quest to unlock the crafting feature. And once you fulfill this requirement and get the Gelatinous Mass, you can use it with other materials to craft Drakeslayer’s Bracelets:

  • Gelatinous Mass
  • Dragon Talon
  • Scarletite
  • Brair Clam Shells x20

Final Fantasy 16 is available on PlayStation 5
