Among Us Animated Series by Infinity Train Creator Announced!
Among Us is a multiplayer online social deduction game developed and released by Intersloth in 2018. It received a massive popular surge in 2020 garnering nearly 500 million active users, over 4 billion views on YouTube, and more than 1.22 billion views on Twitch.
Taking inspiration from Mafia party games as well as the 1982 science fiction horror film The Thing, Among Us places players as part of a 4-to-15-man crew that is prepping for departure but is unaware that crewmates among them have been replaced by alien shapeshifters. They must avoid being killed while performing various tasks across the ship and come to a consensus as to who among them is the imposter, so that they may vent them out into space.
The official logline of the Among Us TV series follows this basic premise, in which a small crew in space must find the alien imposter as it tries to sabotage the ship and kill members among them before they depart. Titmouse, famous for its work on such shows as Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks, will oversee the animation for the Among Us animated series.
Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis will executive produce the series alongside Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth, as well as Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. The series currently has no channel or streaming service attached to distribute the series, nor a tentative release window.
