Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players want to know the best Tera Raid builds and counters against Delphox in 7-Star Raids. Delphox has been added to the game in a 7-Star Tera Raid event. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids involve battling giant Terastallized Pokemon with groups of other trainers. 7-Star Raids are the most challenging but are the only way to capture a Delphox in Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Delphox Raid Event in Scarlet and Violet
From July 7, Delphox with the Mightiest Mark will appear in black crystal Tera Raid Battles. Marks are special markings attached to various Pokemon to prove their uniqueness or where it was caught. The Mightiest Mark simply means the Pokemon was caught in a 7-Star Raid.
Tera Raid Battles are divided by star rank, with seven being the hardest. When Terastallized, a Pokemon will gain a new Tera Type different from its default type. Delphox is typically a Fire and Psychic-type, but for Tera Raid Battles, Delphox will be a solo Fairy-Type.
You can choose to fight in Tera Raid Battles either by yourself or with a group of other trainers online. You will fight the Terastallized Pokemon with AI trainers if you decide to go in the battle solo.
The Delphox Tera Raid Event will be live until July 9 at 11:59 PM UTC. But the Pokemon will return for the weekend of July 14.
Best Delphox Raid Builds and Raid Counters
You have to defeat the 7-Star Delphox in the Raid Battle to capture it in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. You should only challenge 7-Star Raids with a team of real players, not AI.
While Delphox is a the Fairy Tera-type opponent, the Pokemon still has access to its Fire and Psychic moves. That means Pokemon weak against Fire and Psychic will be vulnerable against Tera Raid Delphox. Raid Delphox can also use moves like Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam to take out your Pokemon and allies.
The best Delphox Tera Raid counter would be a Pokemon strong against Fire and Psychic moves and could use Steel or Poison-type attacks. Fairy-types are only weak against Steel and Poison, making those the most ideal attacks.
Ceruledge is the ideal counter against Delphox in 7-Star Raids. The Pokemon is a Fire and Ghost Pokemon, meaning it’s strong against Delphox’s Fire and Psychic attacks. Ceruledge also has the Flash Fire ability, which absorbs Delphox’s Fire moves. The best Delphox Tera Raid build would be a level 75 (or higher) Ceruledge with the moveset of Bitter Blade, Iron Head, Swords Dance, and Poison Jab. Poison Jab is a TM move Ceruledge can learn.
Bronzong with Heat Proof is a good alternative to Delphox. While Bronzong’s Steel typing would generally make it weak against Delphox’s Fire Moves, Heat Proof will reduce Fire attacks by half. Bronzong has access to many Steel attacks that would be effective against Tera Raid Delphox, including Gyro Ball and Heavy Slam.
