2064: Read Only Memories comes to PS4 and Vita on August 16.
The stylized point and click adventure game tasks players with solving the mystery of Turing’s disappearance. Turing is the first world’s first Sapient machine, and after she mysteriously vanishes it is up to the player to investigate the near-future city of San Fransisco and rescue the missing robot.
The game has a beautiful pixelated art style, harkening back to classic games in the genre. The characters are flamboyant and unique, with each new cast member bringing something new to the experience.
There are also some notable voice actors included in the massive 29 person cast. Austin Creed (AKA Xavier Woods) of WWE fame joins the title in his first voice-over role, while The Walking Dead’s Melissa Hutchison takes on the role of Turing. But celebrities aren’t the only ones making up the game’s cast. Well known video game journalists such as Jim sterling, Dan Rykert, and Zoe Quinn also lend their vocal talents to the title.
2064: Read Only Memories was previously released on PC via Steam, but the game was mainly text with no voiceovers to speak of. other updates include reworked puzzles and new character animations. The title will be cross-buy between PS4 and Vita, meaning that if you purchase the game on one system you also get it on the other.
