Britney Spears remains unwilling to let go following the slapping incident involving basketball player Victor Wembanyama’s security. Days after news of the slapping incident in Vegas broke, Britney took to Instagram to share her side of the story. In a lengthy writeup, the star debunked Victor’s claim that she grabbed him.
According to her, she only tapped him on the shoulder to call his attention, before his guard reacted by backhanding her. A video detailing the encounter soon flooded the media, confirming Britney’s side of the story. However, the video confirmed that the star never landed on the ground after the hit, contrary to her claims.
Britney Calls Out Those Claiming She Deserved the Slap
Now, days after addressing the slap in her Instagram post, Britney Spears is taking a swipe at Victor Wembanyama’s security again. In a new video, the star admitted she chose to address the slap once again in reaction to those implying that she deserved it after hearing the host of a local radio station say so. She shared some of the widespread excuses justifying Victor’s security, including claims he simply did his job of protecting his client.
Despite the ill opinions she’s heard so far, the crooner maintained her initial stance that she was wronged. According to her, as a celebrity, she’s found herself in the company of some of the most famous people in the world and has firsthand knowledge of how they react to fans that come too close.
Britney Spears Rehashes Las Vegas Slap in New Video
Britney proceeded to give an account of her experience at the Las Vegas restaurant just moments before her encounter with Victor. She explained how three twelve-year-olds approached her at the entrance looking to take photos and almost knocking her down. During the encounter, her security never laid hands on them. She made it clear to everyone that she did not appreciate people saying she deserved the slap, saying,
“Point is, I do not appreciate the people saying that I deserve to be hit because no woman ever deserves to be hit.”

After saying her bit, Britney Spears proceeded to rehash her encounter with the basketball player, dramatizing the events as she spoke. The mom of two divulged,
“I simply tapped him on the back, I was backhanded, hit my face, came back, on the floor, and my best friend picked me up.”
After relaying the Vegas slapping incident, Britney Spears admitted Victor Wembanyama’s security approached her to apologize some 30 minutes later. Notwithstanding, she believes she deserves a public apology from the athlete. She quipped,
“I did get an apology, at my table. 30 minutes later. But I have yet to receive a public apology. That’s it.”
With Britney unable to get satisfaction on the legal front, demanding that Victor apologizes publicly seems like the next best thing. Despite voicing her intentions to receive a public apology, neither the athlete nor his team seems keen on indulging her so far.
