When playing Halls of Torment, you constantly have to choose different traits, abilities, and items that are given randomly. It can be difficult to understand which ones are best suited for your character. Each character has strengths you need to consider when choosing a build to take full advantage of its capabilities. So that you can improve your runs, we have prepared an article for you on the best Sorceress build in Halls of Torment.

Halls of Torment: Sorceress Build Guide

You can get the Sorceress when you destroy 10,000 enemies in Forgotten Viaduct. Sorceress is one of the strongest characters with huge damage and excellent mobility. Her survivability is quite low, but this is not a problem because with certain abilities and buffs, it will be tough for enemies to get close to you, and sometimes you will kill them before they even get into your field of vision.

Sorceress’s electric attacks hit several enemies simultaneously and are also transmitted by a chain reaction, making it very easy to deal with vast waves of monsters. She also does an excellent job against bosses due to her immense damage and strong critical hits. So to build a good build for Sorceress, you don’t need to buff her defense or health and instead increase her movement speed, critical damage, and attack speed.

The choice of traits for Sorceress is quite obvious. You need to make her faster and stronger. You won’t be able to choose the same traits every time, but you should focus on strengthening her electric attacks, so if possible, buff her attack speed and boost her critical hits.

  • Strength I: Damage buff (+10%)
  • Swift Feet I: Movement Speed buff (+6%)
  • Quick Hands III: Attack Speed buff (+8%)
  • Piercing Wind I: Piercing buff (+1)
  • Ruthlessness I: Critical Damage buff (+20%)

Some of the best abilities for Sorceress are Astronomer’s Orbs and Lightning Strike. Lightning Strike simply deals a lot of electric damage, while Astronomer’s Orbs reduces the chance that a monster will break through and kill you with its orbs, and these orbs will move quite quickly, as Sorceress has a reasonably high movement speed.

  • Astronomer’s Orbs: Metal orbs fly around you as damage dealers, and their speed increases if you have high movement speed.
  • Lightning Strike: Strikes a random enemy within your field of view with a lightning strike, after which other enemies get stunned and electrified. For Sorceress, it is worth upgrading Lightning Strike II (Conversion) and Lightning Strike IV (Charges) as they will increase the number of strikes and give them +30% Attack Speed.

Sorceress’s strengths are her electric attacks and critical damage, so you should focus on improving these when choosing items. One of the good items for her is Thunder Crown, which creates excellent synergy and additional damage to electrified opponents. Collar of Confidence will dramatically increase your damage if opponents get too close to you. This will help you lose health less often. Every time it becomes more difficult to fight waves of enemies, you will receive an additional 50% of damage, allowing you to deal with them.

  • Copper Ring: Critical Damage buff (+40)
  • Quickhand Gloves: Attack speed buff (+20%)
  • Ring of Fire: Your primary weapon changes its damage type to fire, and your attacks have a 20% chance of burning the enemy.
  • Electrostatic Treads: While you move, you accumulate a charge, and when it becomes full, you release an electric shock wave that hits and stuns enemies around you.
  • Blood-Soaked Shirt: When you kill an enemy, you regain 1 health point with a 3% chance.
  • Hunting Gloves: Additional Strikes buff (+30%)
  • Thunder Crown: When you use magic attacks to hit electrified enemies, they get struck by lightning, which deals 100 damage and, with a certain chance, electrifies them again.
  • Collar of Confidence: For each enemy in your pickup range, you get an additional 5% damage, but not more than 50%.
  • Wooden Ring: Base Crit Chance buff (+10%)

Sorceress is a powerful and interesting character that will delight you with good results if you make the right build for her. Therefore, we hope our article has helped you understand which abilities and items you should choose for Sorceress in Halls of Torment.
