In Remnant 2, players can decide on one of several classes to help them advance in the story. The Handler class could be a good option if you are an animal lover, specifically a dog lover. Being a Handler will allow you to have a canine companion from almost the beginning of the game. This dog will be a loyal companion that will attack enemies or protect other party members. But, as in many other games, players wonder if you can change the dog’s name in Remnant 2.

Where’s the Option to Change the Dog’s Name in Remnant 2?

Unfortunately, there is no option to change the dog’s name in Remnant 2. This is sad as players would like to customize their four-legged friend further, but sadly, the game doesn’t have many options. However, that doesn’t mean having a companion with a generic name is bad. It can do plenty of things for you while you play. This furry friend brings many useful skills to make your playthrough easier and faster.

Your dog can take down enemies stealthily, which is great in this Souls-like title. Also, the dog can be called back to protect its master, or if you play in co-op, it can take care of other players. An important feature is that our four-legged friend can take many hits. This means enemies will have a hard time taking it down. The best thing is that the dog can heal its master if we have the necessary relic charges, provided the dog is near the player; otherwise, the dog won’t rescue us.

And that’s everything we have about the dog’s name in Remnant 2. This game is a perfect entry point for those who want to try a Souls-like game with fun classes and engaging combat. Plus, the Handlers is one of the most fun classes you can grab when you start the game, so consider making it your main class. Having a dog in the game is like playing co-op without other players. This class will make your journey through the game’s planets much easier, and you won’t need to worry too much about getting constantly defeated.

Remnant 2 is available now, July 21st, 2023, for those pre-ordered on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Those who didn’t pre-order will have to wait for the full launch on July 25.
