Remnant 2 is one of the best games for adding procedurally generated elements. This is fantastic as every player will get a different experience. However, some might get challenging places or enemies, deterring them from playing the game. Thankfully, Gunfire Games has prepared a feature that lets players start over and see if they get lucky with a new world. Early in the game, you’ll see the option to restart a campaign in Remnant 2. While this might sound tempting after being stuck at a certain boss or not being too fond of a specific world, is it worth re-rolling a campaign? Here we’ll give you the answer!

Should You Restart a Campaign in Remnant 2?

Restarting a campaign in Remnant 2 might sound bad, but it isn’t. While it sounds like getting a clean slate and losing all your progress, the latter doesn’t happen. When you reach a certain part of the story, you’ll get the option to re-roll a campaign. If you click on it, you can start fresh with a new difficulty level, a new archetype, and a new character look. This is fantastic, and we’d say restarting a campaign in Remnant 2 is worth it if you are struggling with a boss or don’t like the world you got first. The silver lining is that if you choose to do this, your first character won’t go away.

Re-rolling a campaign creates a new character and lets you skip the tutorial. Yes, you’ll get a fresh start and will have to work your way through the game, but it isn’t bad. After all, Remnant 2 is built around the concept of replayability, and the way the developers handle it is fantastic.

Ultimately, restarting a campaign in Remnant 2 depends on the player, but we think it’s worth it for the abovementioned reasons. It is a great way to experience certain classes and get a new look for your character. If you’re doing it, we recommend you try it if you aren’t far into the story.

If you are, it is better to stick with what you have until you unlock more options to customize your playthrough. Yet, there’s nothing wrong with re-rolling your game, and in the end, what matters is that you enjoy this fantastic new title.

Remnant 2 launches on July 21 on Early Access on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
