Action Roguelike Necropolis’ arrival on consoles is going to be late.

Console gamers who are waiting for the co-op roguelike, Necropolis are in for a bit of a let down. For anyone who doesn’t know, Necropolis is the creation of developer Harebrained Schemes. Players will fight their way through procedurally generated dungeons. Up to four players fight through a dungeon at once. Furthermore, players can also take on dungeons solo.

The PC version is due for release on July 12th, the date intended for consoles. However, Harebrained are now saying that PS4 and Xbox 1 versions will release later. This is noteworthy because they previously delayed the PC version so they could all be released at the same time.

According to Eurogamer;

“A spokesperson for the studio confirmed to Eurogamer that Necropolis’ launch is “PC on July 12th, consoles are later this summer” and that the developer won’t have console code for “several weeks”.

Perma-death is another feature PC gamers can enjoy from the 12th. This is a feature that encourages players to team up to face the brutal  Necropolis. Harebrained are quick to confirm that, in spite of the delay Bandai Namco are still releasing for consoles. PS4 and Xbox1 will see their releases later this summer.
