After being a victim of her ex-husband Jason Alexander’s stalking, Britney Spears seems to have the right words for his latest victim. Britney’s ex-husband has been embroiled in a series of legal offenses, ranging from theft to stalking, the latter of which landed him in police custody. Per police reports, Jason was booked on Wednesday, August 2. He allegedly stalked a woman and harassed her and her kid at a gym, among other incidents. This led to his arrest, with a $50,000 bond. Details of his day in court remain undisclosed.

Amid the drama surrounding her ex-husband’s stalking incident, Britney Spears seems to address it on Instagram. The 42-year-old shared a photo containing a cryptic quote about the devil attacking people. It read,
“The devil wouldn’t be attacking you so hard if there wasn’t something Holy inside of you. Thieves don’t break into empty homes.”
Britney followed up the post with an even more confusing caption featuring two red dress emojis. While the post did not directly mention Britney Spears’ ex-husband or his victim, the timing coincided with the blow-up of Jason Alexander’s latest run-in with the law. This leaves open the possibility that the songstress was in fact extending her heart to the woman Jason allegedly stalked, having been in those shoes herself.

Britney Spears and her ex-husband Jason Alexander tied the knot in 2004 but divorced barely 55 hours later. Since their split, the two have barely seen eye to eye. In fact, Jason’s repeated run-in with the law has further driven a wedge between them. Their differences culminated in Jason’s June 2022 arrest for crashing Britney’s wedding to her current husband Sam Asghari.

The invasion of her home leading to his arrest forced Britney Spears to file a restraining order against her ex-husband. Thankfully, the hitch did not ruin her wedding, as the star proceeded to wed her new flame, donning three different dresses for the occasion, including a flaming red dress. The red outfit remains one of the most memorable looks from the singer’s star-studded wedding. That just might explain her red dress emojis included in the caption of the cryptic message.
Additionally, Jason has faced theft allegations in the past, including an alleged jewelry theft from 2016. It is too much of a coincidence then that her post had a reference to thieves breaking into a home. But then again, Britney just might mean every word just as read, with no hidden message endearing her to Jason’s latest stalking victim.
