Type-Moon has accrued a large fan base that follows each of its installments of the Fate franchise, despite how crazy and convoluted the anime and light novels get. And it is this same saga that seeks to stay present in the video game media with products such as Fate/Grand Order. If you aren’t a big fan of mobile gaming, though, Fate/Strange Fake is coming soon. The Koei Tecmo team has just released the opening animation for Fate/Samurai Remnant to hype players for this upcoming game.

Fate/Samurai Remnant Opening Animation

Fate/Samurai Remnant is an action RPG where a Holy Grail War will take place during the Edo Period in Japan. That’s why many of its characters embody styles from this era, such as geishas and samurai. Besides that, in making Fate/Samurai Remnant, several companies have collaborated to create a video game that players will love. Fans of the series will spot several easter eggs in the opening animation of Fate/Samurai Remnant. Besides that, here are all the companies that worked to make this game and animation come to life:

  • Sony Aniplex
    This company is responsible for game production and is well-known for anime games such as Fate/Grand Order.
  • CloverWorks
    Its area is in charge of animation production. Besides that, one of their projects includes Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.
  • Koei Tecmo
    The team behind the game is also responsible for other big franchises such as Atelier: Ryza and the Nioh series.
  • Type-Moon
    This company is the IP owner of the entire Fate franchise and Tsukihime.

During the Fate/Samurai Remnant opening animation, many fans managed to identify some of the game’s new characters. This is fantastic and a nod to many fans who have followed the series for a while. Among the heroic spirits, we can see Arjuna and Jean, or at least characters that look like them. The opening gave many clues, but there is still more to discover about this game. Fortunately, its release on September 28, 2023, is getting closer. Hopefully, we’ll see more details of this long-anticipated game soon.
