FFXIV players, get ready for a blast from the past. The new Fashion Report for this week is up, and players are rushing between the new Summer event and the Golden Saucer to get that sweet MGP currency. Thankfully, this week is probably one of the easiest ones to get and won’t require you to spend much of Gil on gear or dyes. If you want to participate in the FFXIV Fashion Report of week 289, we have a guide here to tell you precisely what you need.

As you may or may not know, this fantastic MMO is about to turn ten years old. This is a huge milestone for any multiplayer game, and FFXIV is starting its celebrations in the Gold Saucer. Those who want to participate in the FFXIV Fashion Report of Week 289 must wear an outfit from your character’s beginnings, which means the starting gear for any of the races. Whether you want the 100-point achievement or the 80-point prize, here’s what you’ll need, using a Hyur (human) as an example:

  • Body: Hyuran Chemisette
  • Hands: Hyuran Halfgloves
  • Legs: Hyuran Skirt
  • Feet: Hyuran Longboots

This will change depending on your race. If you need to buy your race-specific gear, head to Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks and purchase everything from Bango Zango.

This is, so far, Week 289 is one of the easiest weeks for the FFXIV Fashion Report. You won’t have to spend a lot of Gil to get the items, and who knows? You might have your old gear if you’re attached to your character’s first set of clothes. So, now that you know what to wear, flaunt that original look and get ready to impress everyone in the Golden Saucer.

FFXIV is available on PC, PS4, and PS5, with an Xbox version coming soon.
