While fishing is one of the core mechanics for Palia, it can take a very long time for you to complete some NPC requests. After all, the game offers more than 80 unique fish with unique habitats, favorite bait, and preferred time of day. Some of the rarest and most epic fish can be your target for earnings, but this is not the case with Yellow Perch. This fish is cheap but will be handy while cooking or during weekly quests. So if that’s what you need, we’re here to help you and tell you where to find and catch Yellow Perch in Palia.

To find and catch Yellow Perch in Palia, you must head to the Bahari Bay area and fish in the local rivers at any time of the day. You also need to select the No Bait option for it to take your bait, as Worm and Glow Worm are not to its liking. As a Common fish, Yellow Perch is not picky so you can catch it with almost no effort.

As we said, you can visit any river in Bahari Bay, but we suggest starting with the long rivers between Thorny Thicket and Statue Garden or between Statue Garden and Proudhorn Pass. Moving along the coastline in these locations, you can find many ripples in the water. It does not guarantee that you will catch rarer fish species or that you will catch more Yellow Perch. But fishing in water ripples increases your chances of catching Quality versions of the fish.

Otherwise, you only need to spend a little time by the river before you catch what you need. After all, if you are fishing in the Bahari Rivers and do not use bait, you can only catch Dawnray, Duskray, Rosy Bitterling, or Silvery Minnow besides Yellow Perch. In addition, half of these fish are rarer than Yellow Perch, which increases your chances of a coveted catch.

How To Use Yellow Perch in Palia

As we said earlier, Yellow Perch is not a very valuable fish, but you can use it in one of the following ways:

  • First, you can use Yellow Perch to complete repeatable quests from NPCs to increase their friendship level and earn extra rewards.
  • You can also use this fish to cook delicious meals.
  • Finally, you can sell Yellow Perch for 21 Gold or 31 Gold if you catch the Quality version of this fish.
