One of the new mechanics in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch involves getting and using Offerings in the seasonal activities. However, some questions surround how to get Offerings, especially how to use them. Each Offering is used within the Altars of Summoning seasonal activity and can increase the difficulty of the activity. While this sounds like a challenge, it will yield much better rewards, making it worth it. Let’s take a look at how to get and use Offerings in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch.
How To Get Offerings in Destiny 2
You can obtain Destiny 2 Offerings in multiple different ways. Naturally, you can pick up quite a few Offerings by completing the Season of the Witch activities: The Altars of Summoning and Savathun’s Spire. Additionally, Offerings can drop from several other activities as well. Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit all are decent ways to quickly get some Offerings. Some players are even trying out Dungeons, Raids, Nightfalls, and Trials of Osiris to grab some extra Offerings.
How To Use Offerings in Destiny 2
To spend Destiny 2 Offerings, Guardians should head into the Altars of Summoning activity from the Seasonal Playlist. However, before you can begin the Altars of Summoning, you must first complete the Toil and Trouble questline, then the first step of The Bladed Path quest. These are the introductory steps into the Season of the Witch.
Once you’re inside the Altars of Summoning, there are four different interactable totems at each of the summoning circles within the activity. These totems are where you can make Offerings. Each of the interactable totems is used for a different type of Offering. If you check out any Offerings you have in your inventory, you will notice their varying appearances correspond to the glowing glyph shown above each totem. Simply approach the totem of your choice and interact with it to give an Offering and alter the difficulty of your encounter.
